HSSC: ANNUAL REPORT

Purpose:

Get: Lawmakers, university + healthcare leaders + the general public
Who: Who have a vested interest in better health + health systems 
To: Become aware of a unique statewide research collaboration
By: Publishing + promoting annual achievements of HSSC + its members

The Idea:

In 2004, Health Sciences South Carolina (HSSC) was launched the first-in-the nation university and health system-powered research collaborative dedicated to improving public health and the economy of South Carolina. From 2004-2010, Lux served as HSSC’s contract marketing director, a position that involved liaising with the CEOs, presidents, researchers, and clinicians of three universities and five health systems. During this time, HSSC added North Carolina’s top three research universities plus the Duke Endowment and BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina on special projects.

This was an all-encompassing role that included press conferences, legislative events, branding, website development, social media, scriptwriting, and more. Each year, we produced our scorecard: an annual report. These documents were concepted, researched, written, designed and disseminated by the Lux team. Working with HSSC and being part of the profound impact the organization and its members had on South Carolina is among our proudest career accomplishments.
