Triplepoint: Lange Twins Case Study
Purpose:
Get: Winemakers
Who: Must treat water used in their winemaking process per regulations
To: Do so sustainably with lagoon technology
By: Showcasing the new lagoon system of a premier California winemaker
The Idea:
Lange Twins is among California’s oldest farm families, operating since the 1870s. Today, the Lange Twins Family Winery and Vineyards is one of the most environmentally progressive wine businesses, more than willing to adopt practices that advance sustainability. When they decided to replace one of their water processing facilities, Lange Twins tapped Triplepoint Environmental, the experts in water treatment lagoons.
Typically, water processing lagoons are located far from vineyards in the event of unpleasant odors. Lange Twins installed its new Triplepoint lagoon next to the winery, confident a sophisticated aeration system would enable odor-free processing. Let’s just say the family is very pleased with the results, using the processed water to irrigate portions of their land. They also agreed to doing a case study for Triplepoint, with Lux as the author.
The case study has been a tremendous sales tool for Triplepoint with other vineyards. Lux pitched the story to a premier trade journal, American Vineyard, which used the Lange Twins case study as a cover story in July 2023. Double win!
